Handmade heart pottery 9" x 6.5" Very unique Raku heart wall hanger for your home or garden. I really enjoyed creating this heart. I love all of the beautiful markings in the glazes! The marks and cracks are intentional and caused by Raku involved process which is done outside and dangerous! Process very smokey and sometimes I even get rained on. It includes using special glazes and put into kiln which gets up to 1800 degrees for about an hour or two. Then the red hot pottery is carefully taken out with long tongs, putting each piece in short trash cans with paper and pine needles..which catch fire..and then quickly putting lid on without getting burned. Then with tongs I drop hot item in cold water bath which adds to cracking. When it cools I scrub the piece to get all the blackness off to see my treasure beneath. Very unique rustic outcome each time! Great piece to compliment the colors in your home. Could be hung in baby's room or make great wedding gift. One of a kind. Just spreading the love...Enjoy!
